IIMSA- is one of the largest internationally represented medical students’ organizations, aiming to incorporate over 50,000 medical science students across the World in the next three years. It is an organization for and by Indian and International medical students who are studying medicine, medical sciences or registered medical doctors
As an organisation, IIMSA strives to provide its members with numerous opportunities while they are students to become global health leaders of today and tomorrow with greater exposure. Ever since its inception, IIMSA has spread its wings to the across the globe for collaboration with top medical Universities and hospitals and continues to do so even today. We are aiming to incorporate medical and medical science students over 26 states and 5 union territories in India and all over the world, thousands of students and doctors to be registered and taken part in different types of activities.
We’re the Indian and International Medical Student Association — we exist to prepare, train and embolden medical students to become leaders of professional doctors. IIMSA advocates for quality and affordable health care for all and guides of a better, more inclusive, equitable future. Our members should ask the question: what needs to change to improve and advance healthcare/medicine for all? We have the audacity, again and again, to create programming and learning opportunities that seek to answer this question — filling gaps that often exist in medical school, colleges and Universities training. As believers in progress, not just in medical science but in growing our understanding of how environmental and social determinants, for instance, impact health, IIMSA has continued to evolve and respond to the times.
IIMSA members have to go on to influence positive change in the world — going far beyond drugs and diagnoses.
How do we make things happen?
We do this by offering students like you, what many medical schools don’t provide: the vital skills needed to lead and listen; and a diverse, inclusive place to explore, reflect and become the kind of physician who understands the world around them. The kind of physician who makes a difference. The kind of physician you would like to become.
